JapaneseCampThe College has a vibrant middle school and senior school curriculum. During the middle school years there is a strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy skills whilst experiencing a range of subjects in Manual, Performing and Visual Arts, LOTE and Learning Quests during Year 9.

Pastoral Care

MercyCrossThis school is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR0 through the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP) for a school Pastoral Student Welfare worker.

AlliedHealthSacred Heart College enjoys excellent learning and teaching facilities highlighted by recent additions of the Rehabilitation Health Centre for the delivery of Allied Health Certificate III and the Engineering Centre.

Learning Advisors

LearningAdvisorThe College’s unique learning advisor system underpins learning at Sacred Heart. Upon enrolling at Sacred Heart College, students are allocated a Learning Advisor who acts as a support and advocate for the student in their learning for the duration of their middle school years.

Awards & Recognition

AwardsandRecognitionThe College is strong on positive behavior, which revolves around praising and reinforcing positive student behavior in all aspects of College life. The College merit system is integral part of this process. Students receive merits for positive academic and co curricular contributions and for trying their best.

Outside the Classroom


There are many opportunities at Sacred Heart for our students outside the classroom. The College is affiliated with the VSSSA and is part of the Ovens and Mitta sporting region. This competition offers a range of sports throughout the year catering for a range of student interests and abilities.


UniformThe College is very proud of our students and the way they are presented at school and in the wider community. The College has a clear uniform policy, which is reviewed and updated every four years. 


Sacred Heart College Leadership and staff proactively encourage all students to take pride in their school. This includes participating in College activities to the best of their ability, whether it is House sports, or any other curricular or co-curricular activity.

Positive Discipline

Sacred Heart College aims to assist students in forming self discipline and the ability to take responsibility for their own actions. However, there are times when staff must respond to breaches of expectations of behaviour to ensure that all of our students behave in a manner that is conducive to learning and protects the safety of all students and staff.

Student Safety

Sacred Heart College maintains that bullying and harrassment is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The College is committed to providing information and training for staff to support our students and colleagues in recognising and addressing bullying behaviour. 

Child Safety

All students enrolled at Sacred Heart College, and any child visiting, have a right to feel safe and be safe.

The wellbeing of children in our care will always be our first priority and we have zero tolerance to child abuse. We aim to create a child safe and child friendly environment where children feel safe and are free to enjoy life to the full without any concern for their safety.
