Students in Year 9 participate in a Northern Territory experience which involves an 8-day expedition to the Northern Territory. This trip is a highlight for our students and presents as a once in a life time opportunity to visit some of the cultural sites of significance and experience the vibrant history of the Top End. Some of the significant sites visited include:

  • Nitmiluk & Katherine Gorge
  • Sacred Heart College Katherine
  • Mataranka Springs
  • Ubir & Cahills Crossing
  • Florence & Edith Falls
  • Mindil Beach
  • Darwin Military Museum

The Year 9 Connected Learning Unit which is an integrated Humanities and Religious Education Unit focuses on Central and Northern Australia in the lead up to the expedition which occurs on July each year.

Year 9 students also complete the following subjects:
